Outcrop Labs

We get your marketing actually working.

You get senior marketing people without hiring one full-time. We fix the story, get campaigns out the door, and hand the whole thing to your team once it's running.

How we work
What we do

Here's what we do.

Most engagements start with the first three, in order. The fourth is for the work that comes after.

01

Sharpen your story

We figure out who you actually are to the people you sell to. Positioning, messaging, identity. The load-bearing stuff a brand stands on, not a deck of mood boards.

  • Positioning and message architecture
  • Naming, voice, and visual identity
  • Sales narrative your team will actually use
02

Run real campaigns

We pick channels because they work for your buyers, not because they're what everyone else is doing. Then we build the content and the weekly rhythm around your actual sales cycle.

  • Channels that fit your buyers
  • Content your team can keep up with
  • Lifecycle, ABM, and the boring plumbing
03

Hand it to your team

We work next to your team from day one. We make the first hires, write the playbooks, and stay until it runs without us.

  • Marketing hires and org design
  • Playbooks and dashboards your team owns
  • Coaching for the new head of marketing
How we work

Three short stages. No multi-quarter brand exercises.

If stage one doesn't turn up a story worth telling, we'll say so and stop. No stage two for the sake of it.

  1. 01Stage / Listen

    Listen to the market

We talk to your customers, your salespeople, and the buyers you keep losing. We come back with what your story should actually be, not what the deck says it is.

  2. 02Stage / Build

    Get it running

Six to twelve weeks. Positioning, content, and campaigns running inside your stack and your CRM. Real pipeline, not a strategy doc.

  3. 03Stage / Handover

    Hand it off, stay close

We make the hires, write the playbooks, and pair with your team until they can run it without us. A small retainer keeps us in the loop for advising and pipeline review. New projects are hourly, and only when you want them.

FAQ

Stuff people ask us.

Series A through mid-market is our sweet spot. Companies that need executive marketing chops but aren't ready to pay full freight for a head of marketing yet, or want senior firepower for one specific push. We're not the right fit if you're pre-product and looking for someone to invent your category from scratch.

$2,000/month, same as every practice. That covers the day-to-day: advice, pipeline reviews, the occasional hard call. The only hourly work is projects, and only when you want them. We don't box you in; cancel anytime with 30 days' notice.

Standing fractional CMO time. Everything you'd need day to day: weekly working sessions, pipeline review, hiring input, and being on call when something hits the fan. Projects (new campaigns, brand work, GTM launches) are the only hourly part. The retainer is about keeping a senior marketer close without paying for hours you don't need.

No. We work next to them. If you don't have one yet, we'll help you build it, starting with the first hires and the playbooks they'll work from. Our job is to make your team look great, not to replace them.

Yes, mutual NDA before we get into the weeds. We're also pretty quiet about who we work with. Most of our clients come from referrals, so we'd rather earn the next one than splash the last one across our homepage.

No favorites. Content, paid, lifecycle, partnerships, events, ABM, PR. The right answer depends on who you're actually selling to, so we don't pretend one channel wins every time.
